full sky exchanges and �5 connect price

BT have moved my older sister from a close exchange to one over 4km away for reasons only know to themselves but the good thing out of this she now is on a easynet/sky exchange it is of course a known full exchange the montfort exchange in leicester.

What is the likelyhood of her getting the package for �5 because it has LLU on it does one normally have to push for it or is it just offered?

I on the Montfort exchange and just took up Sky - they offered be the Connect package at �5 per month.

Hoping to activate tomorrow *fingers crossed*


Just wish I was on any exchange other than that so could get Be or similar Grrrr

Just checked my number on Montfort and I can only get Connect at �17 per month!
How did you get the �5?

Tell me about BE, seems every other exchange except Montfort and Leicester Central are activated!

I logged into My Sky account and checked to see what I could get and Connect was the only available one; they said the price would be �5 (usual �17). if you are looking anywhere else I would expect them to say �17 as its Sky themselves who will decide the prices. bviously you need Sky Tv too.


As for BE its just another provider who use LLU equipment. It does seem to be in all the other Leicestershire exchanges apart from the two you mention which is rather annoying and does not seem to be closer to getting them.

Sky do 4 packages on broadband (assuming she has Sky TV).

3 of the packages are on a Sky LLU connection - Base �0 a month - Mid �5 a month - Max �10 a month. So if she has Sky LLU at her exchange she should have no problem at all getting any of the packages she wants, as long as there is available capacity to put her straight on the Sky LLU network.

The 4th. package Sky do is Sky Connect which is usually �17 a month on any exchnage that doesn't have Sky LLU.

If Sky Connect is offered at �5 a month it is on an exchange that Sky has an LLU prescence but capacity is full at that time. It usually means someone will be put on the Sky LLU network as soon as capacity is available.

yep she has sky tv.
exchange has sky llu.
llu capacity is currently known to be full.
she would happily accept connect at �5.

I'm activated with Sky Connect and got it for �5 per month
