Sky Netgear DG834G Router

Iv got a mate thats got this router, but they are trying to use this particular router on a AOL line. I know that sky have customized the router slightly by removing the basic settings and adsl settings from the router web interface (http://192.168.0.1). Is there anyway to get access to these settings like the generic ones?

I think the only way they can lock these setting down is due to sky using their own customized firmware...so changing the firmware to the generic one available from the netgear website should do the trick to get these settings back...would I be right in thinking this?

AIUI, A firmware flash is the way to go on this one.
