Upgrading - 12 month contract?

We've got a 2mb broadband connection with Sky at the moment, and I'm thinking of upgrading to the 16mb unlimited package (without Sky Talk). Would this mean signing up to a new 12 month contract? We're planning on moving in 6 months.
