it would be nice and the only way i'll get it since i can't see the point in BTs service due to the ridiculous data caps

not at the moment, just pointing out the some of the BT options don't have a cap (FUP instead).

There is no extra charge if 300GB is exceeded, but the connection will be slowed down (all protocols). I don't know how much by.

grr, how do you stop posting your sig on this?

anyhoo. i'd rather take skys truly unlimited broadband as is than take BTs. i mean what'#s the point of 40Mb if i only have that for 29 or so days a month.

anyway, we#re getting off topic. is there a chance sky will be able to offer this service in an LLU capacity? i mean, not have to pay BT for how much we download?

if not, then i guess i'm on 20meg until that changed

What makes you think that Sky will offer truly unlimted FTTC anyways?

They have had (and still are having in some areas) problems with backhaul and putting lots of new customers on the LLU product.

If Sky were to offer a truly unlimted FTTC package they would have a bandwidth bill that would be eye watering and I would expect a price tag to match.

BT's £26 per month with a 300 gig FUP is the best package out there for FTTC in terms of cost and bandwidth.

it isn't a cap, 'cos it keeps working after that albeit slower. A cap is when it stops working.

i pay £7.50 /month for unlimited 20meg and am a heavy user so 300gig is nowhere near enough

i'd payupto £50/month thereabouts for the same type of 40meg.

anyhoo, i dont know. i just assume they'd do a better deal than BT as otherwise, what's the point? why choose sky over BT?
