But that's kind of the point isn't it, you sacrifice flexibility for a reduced line rental. I presume it is cheaper to provide a line to one customer for 12 months than to provide a line to one customer for the first 6 months, and another customer for the second 6 months. So that saving is passed on to you in return for your 12 month commitment. It's just a bulk buy discount, utilised in business everywhere.

Plenty of 12 month commitments don't require all the year's money up front, though. It's just penalising those who would be happy to commit for 12 months, but don't have £129 kicking about.
I just left O2 and I did not experience any issues of that nature on legacy package. I left because of the rubbish issues that kept coming back every couple of months that Be could never really fix.
