According to the BT infinity website, my exchange should have been enabled on the 30/09 but when i check to see if i can get fibre, tells me not ready yet or exchange not enabled.
Is this just BT being slow or can i not get it? Am interested in finally upgrading my line to Fibre with sky
Have you identified your cabinet and is there an FTTC 'pair' already installed alongside it ( up to 100m away max). If so it is either already live or on the way.
Are you with Sky at present?
If you are you won't show on the Infinity checker, as it will not know where in Pontypool you are. You need to use the postcode checker which is not as accurate. Or ask Sky who will be able to see whether your Cabinet is live.
If you post your postcode someone will be able to check which Cabinet you are on and may be able to tell you whether it is already live.
I've got the same issue. My exchange (SMSA) is Sky enabled, I'm on Sky LLU and BT Infinity is available at my address (according to BT availability checker) but Sky Fibre isn't.
If you ask on the Sky Help Centre forums, you may get an answer from one of the specialists. Apparently Sky are currently unable to install the required equipment at the exchange in my case, whatever that may mean.
