I'm on the Bognor Regis exchange and the last couple of weeks my internet becomes unusable in the evening, around 6.30pm until 10.30pm. Is anyone else in the area getting this?

Sky told me an upragde would be coming in March, but reading the sky forums, people have been promised upgrades over 10mths ago!
i have decide to cut my loses and sign up with Plusnet, hopefully they will be better!
put your details in the checker, it tells me the exchange has no problems!

An upgrade in March would make sense as fttc is going live around the area.

it all went live in Jan of this year, i got mine installed on 11th Jan and everyhting was perfect for 2 weeks..after that, well look at the speedtest results and that tells the story...
in the last 2 weeks it has been unusable every night after 8pm....its up to you but im not prepared to pay double what i was on ADSL2 for a service which is so much worse....
also sky support are next to useless!

The last few days my connection has been utterly useless from 7pm-11pm approximately. I've contacted customer services but I'm yet to receive a reply..
Not happy at all atm!

Last night was the worst I have ever seen it, through the PC I couldn't get web pages to load, I did a speed test on an App on my phone and it gave me the following.
ping : 1531ms
down : 0.01mbps
up : 0.12mbps
Wireless... but around 1ft away from Router!
I know of at least 5 others dotted around the area who all have the same prob....they are looking at options to leave.....

The problem is that Alcatel-Lucent look after Sky's network and they seem to be a bit overwhelmed at the moment. At my exchange, they kept shifting the date of the backhaul upgrade so it ended up taking 3 months to get it sorted.
The campaign of complaints via the Sky help forums seemed to help because eventually Sky started providing official updates on the work schedule.

yes I am sure they will get the work done eventually, but when customers are paying now, getting a solution eventually is no consolation!
I am in the process of changing so it wont be affecting me soon, others are not so lucky at getting out of their contracts.
good luck peeps

I recently made the switch from ADSL to Fibre so I'm now stuck in a new contract. I'm sure that if push came to shove this contract wouldn't mean a thing as the service received should nullify any contract because they are not providing a service for which I'm paying.
The only link I managed to find was a checker that says my exchange isn't affected, my speed tests prove that to be a load of rubbish.

Still awful at peak times, Exchange is Bognor Regis SDBGNRR.

a friend of mine who is on the same exchange as us, spoke to Sky today who assured him that a solution will be here by the end of the month. (march)
Just 2 working days after today....who thinks it will be done?
Not me

well judging by the speeds last night, its the same old story...Another case of Sky just Fobbing their customers off with false info to get them off their backs for a few more days..i wonder what the next date they will give out?
End April
End May
your guess is as good as mine!
