How to configure ST780wl to work on sky

Here is the story:
Was on O2, had the TG585 v7 box. Sky moved me onto the new network, and at the exact same time this fairly reliable box died, so I'm on the new network but with no connection.

I have my old working ST780wl router, but sky refuse to tell me how to set it up, or give me the settings. They only support their router. A new router has been ordered. They will credit the no internet access days.

However with the correct firmware and settings I should be able to get the old router working within a few hours rather than days, so....:

1) Is there a firmware change and from where can I get the new firmware?
2) What are the secret new settings?
3) Am i missing anything?

Protocol/Encapsulation :- PPPoA (PPP over ATM)
Multiplexing method: VC-BASED or VC-Mux
(On some routers the above 2 settings may be combined as "PPPoA VC-Mux".)
VPI = 0
VCI = 38
Username: [email protected]
Password: install

I do not remember my BE router ever asking for a login name/password though?

That's the username and password for the PPPOA authentication.

BE and O2 didn't use authentication on their LLU network. They use essentially IPoA (IP over ATM).

Sky generally ask for PPPoA (Point to Point Protocol over ATM) on their ADSL services, and on their VDSL/Fibre services they use IPoA with a modified DHCP.

However you can now get on the Sky network using PPPoA and the generic username/password that BatBoy has posted.
