Switched to Sky from O2 after phoning up to get my MAC code before offical switch over and offered a good deal.
Turn's out that "deal" may not have been all true
Guy on the phone said I'd get free hub, free delivery of it, free set up of fibre, free wireless booster AND £75 bill credit. Got the first bill through today and no sign of the credit. No sign of wireless booster either. Live chat guy checked my account and said no info about it on my account. He said i should e-mail them so they could investigate. Done that but not holding my breath.
Anyone else had such an offer from Sky turn out to not be true?
Pretty sure a verbal contract over the phone is legally binding so how to I get it enforced?
Any Sky people frequent these forums ?
Any e-mail addresses/phone numbers of people at Sky who make sure things like this get resolved?

Had exactly same offer in December (minus the WiFi booster). Everything has gone as described in the offer, account now showing minus £58 or so. It did take about 14 days or so to show up on the account. Have since ordered and received the free booster. They also refunded part of the O2 monthly payment for December and closed down the O2 Direct Debit without request. Cant fault Sky, I must say. The only niggle is telephone charge for customer service which was free with O2.

Had the same offer, but with free line rental. That worked ok, but the £75 credit slipped. A phonecall sorted that and all was well. I missed the extender deadline, but got everything I had been offered.

I had the same offer but the £75 credit has not been noted on my account.
I called 08422414141 and they said they will have to raise a Customer Request form or something, it will take 48 hours to sort out.
@whatever, is that the same thing you had to do?

Time was when contracts worth hundreds of pounds a year were confirmed by snailmail, but these days everything hangs on a phone call. Sadly we cannot always trust a hard-driven sales person who will promise the moon for an order. I now record my final deals using a gadget that sticks to the phone: write down the details, start the recording, warn the salesperson you are recording, and read back the details of the transaction together with time and date.

I just phoned up the main number, think I selected billing dept, and they did it there and then after the chap checked with someone... took about 2 mins.
