sky broadband not working

My phone line is dead it seems the test socket isn't working. Will Sky send an engineer to fix it and will it be free of charge?

They will book openreach to attend if you tell Sky about fault and will only charge if fault is of your own making e.g wire obviously cut by a hedge strimmer etc

There is a phone/broadband outage in the NW of England, could it be that?
