At least the UK has some standards - TT Complaints

Today saw the publication of the ASA adjudication on misleading aspects of the TalkTalk adverts - many points were upheld.

It makes me laugh as obviously Charles Dunstone has temporarily gone quiet (which is a blessing) on his blog page.

I don't get that when basically the ASA have ruled differently regarding their advertising. Unless he can say what he likes in his blog true or not.

Edit: Just realised he can say or advertise what they like on their own website. I have an ASA letter here (in front of me) confirming that they can do that.

Hmmm, so you don't have to have a TV subscription or mobile phone contract to get free broadband? Don't you have to subscribe to an international call package with TalkTalk to get the broadband, as well as take their poor quality line rental service?

Well... to answer your question BexTech, it's no and yes.

No, you don't have to subscribe to the international call package (since the ASA ruling), you just have to subscribe to the Talk3 package.

And yes, you do have to subscribe to their line rental service. I'm not sure you could describe it as poor quality line rental service though, unless you're on their LLU network the line is provided by BT Wholesale, who Talktalk rent it from so it's no different.
