Turn-on Frustrations

[link to this post]

In relation to http://technology.guardian.co.uk/weekly/story/0,,1986983,00.html

It explains how the exchange side work is done, but I am interested in hearing what the current time from ordering to activation is like for Talk Talk customers? Has it come down from the 5 weeks or more of 2006.

CPW interim results are due shortly and that is likely to be the only source of any information on these and other matters. In October they had 370 exchanges unbundled out of their new target of 1303 exchanges by May 2007. What with integrating the AOL infrastructure since 1 January, I am sure that it will be long after May before the Opal network provides guaranteed dates for service.
