i had the same problem, they pulled the exchange appart looking for the cause of my 0.74kbps downstream speed, turned out to be the router that they sent me (they should have listened when i told them that to start with!!) New router installed speed is now 2.8Mbps
The number for second line is 0870 0878080 and the good part is it's free to call from your talktalk line
