Apologies as this isn't the correct place to post but wondered if there was an alternative forum for call plan queries. I'm trying to get an answer to a question and keep getting different replies from TT themselves.
As i understand it you are on the Talk 3 package does not come with international calls , however the Talk 3 International package does. The offer on the TT website is for new customers.
As ireland uses an interneational dialling code 0035 this would not be included in the Standard Talk3 package.
You could either upgrade to the talk3 international package or ask for the international extra to be added on at
Thanks all for replying, think i might just upgrade for the 2 quid or so knowing it wont cost me millions in the future. You don't know my missus especially when shes on the phone !
Sorry to drag this back up but I know you guys are more knowledgeable than most of TT customer services put together.
I have now upgraded to Talk 3 Intl package, supposedly active from the 04th of September. I was advised to prefix Intl numbers with 18418 but when I try that I get nothing but a dead like tone. If I try it without then it works (well I have let it ring and then put the phone down). Should I be prefixing my calls with this 18418 number?
I have been sent a letter from TT which says that to dial numbers which are free, ie the 36 countries, no prefix is needed. If you are on a plan that gives you reduced price calls to certain other countries like the Philippines for example, then you need to use the prefix or you will be charged TT's standard rate which is much higher.
I'd like to hear from anyone who has been charged incorrectly for international calls.
Thanks for replying. Its one of the 36 countries I am trying to call, the ones that are inclusive of the plan. I have emailed TT to see if I can get it in writing so they cant shaft me.
