What's TalkTalk like?

I'm currently with FSN and thinking of going with Talk Talk LLU (cos it would be free, naturally). They are getting ready to enable our exchange and it seems like a good deal, but I've read the press reports and I'm of course sceptical. Have things improved? And what happens if they turn out to be rubbish? apart from the 18 month contract is it easy enough to move back to Max DSL?

The main problem with TT is the CS but the low price is unbeatable. The system works as advertised; the network can get congested in peak hours but capacity has always been increased to meet demand.
