Migrate to talktalk

[link to this post]

Hi

Got my MAC code and went to sign up for talk 2 international but can not find where to input MAC code, found the sign up pages and went through until it requested bank details.Am I right in thinking as it is unbundled I don`t need to use the MAC code?.

Looked at talktalk FAQ and it mentions them contacting me to ask for MAC:

"If we haven't requested a MAC code from you yet, don't worry, we will contact you when one is needed with details on how to proceed. After we've received the code, we'll send you a letter confirming your broadband 'go live' date - followed by everything else you need to get up and running."

Found option for MAC if I sign for talk 2 total, going through quidco site though that should make no difference.

Current MAC expires on 29th March and talktalk go live estimated at 25th so only got a couple of days to sort it

TIA

I think you will find they will not need it.

Yeah can`t understand why I can give MAC with total option but not with talk 2 international, admittedly I've just finished a week on nights and still a bit dopier than usual.

I have just joined talk talk and got a bit frustrated at the time it took to get things sorted and although I am not yet on the LLU I am getting a very stable connection. It has taken a long time though in my opinion, Often they said they had sent letters according to track it ,when they did not turn up and I thought that they may have got lost in the post I found after ringing them it would appear that they had not been sent, and the start dates etc altered almost every day as I tried to track my order, I was at first told by the sales guy 2 to 3 weeks and sure enough thats how long it took to change the telephone but by the time I get on the LLU it will be almost 4 months Ordered January LLU estimate April. In the mean time I have been set up with a 2 meg service although I was told originally it would be 8. It should be 8 when the LLU comes through though. Personally I think that is when the months trial should start and not from when the phone is connected. I am told though it will be worth the wait. I do hope so.
