First impressions...

[link to this post]

... are good!

Been with talk talk for a few weeks now. All switched over with no hassle or downtime.

Changed the login details on my router, and the speed seemed quite good (especially at unearthly hours in the morning) so I did some speed tests, and was surprised with the results which showed speeds of over 8mb!

Checked my router and it shows the following synch speeds:
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,017 / 19,629

I didn't know TT were doing faster than 8mb, but it appears they are, which is nice!

I guess you can not complain getting them speeds and not in the middle of a big city.

What speeds do you get with this site ?

On the three image test is says that the speed was 7751.9kbps and thinks that means I'm on a 10mb connection.

Not bad for peak time of the evening!

7.7Mbps throughput, not bad at all.

Cant complain for talk talk prices. However i bet you are only on the up to 8Mbps connection and your line stats have thrown a bit of a wobbler.

Edit - However i do stand to be corrected.

No, it's definitely faster than 8mb at times:

Definately can't complain for talk talk prices!

Cant argue with that,

What a result, for what a lot of people still call a poxy isp. I am migrating away from TT this week, but not because of their service. I personally think they are as good as any other isp and probably better due to the price.

You're on the ADSL2+ trial either deliberately or accidentally.

Nice one mate, Same as me on the ADSL2+ trail, however by doing this it did involve me buying a new router, but who can complain with these speeds
