irfree.com

[link to this post]

irfree.com, not a site that i have used that much before, but last evening, the second day that i have used it, for some reason i could not access the site on either firefox or internet explorer.

firefox says

Connection Interrupted
The document contains no data.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

and internet explorer is just the usual

The page cannot be displayed

is it possible that either irfree or talk talk are blocking me? i would imagine as irfree has a policy of limiting bandwidth download based on a daily basis and wants your future custom then it would make talk talk more likely.

i only got a 3 day account and there is a download limit of 2.2gb a day. i have cleared cookies, etc, from both browsers and still cannot access the site.

many thanks for your view.

i am LLU too. it is not down to my firefox or internet explorer program as i am now using a notebook and i can still not access irfree.com. it is annoying as the page seems to have been blocked as of around 3-4am this morning, which is offpeak. seeing as i paid for a 3day account at irfree it makes it even more annoying. it is not the money, it was cheap enough, it is the principle. if talk talk are behind it i will be reviewing my service provider on end of my current contract.

Loads fine for me on TalkTalk LLU. It doesnt look like a TalkTalk issue.

just seems mighty strange that i can no longer access it. if talk talk can throttle your speeds then could they possibly block sites to individual talk talk customers? i even installed a new 64bit version of vista yesterday and i thought that i would try to access irfree again and still i could not. all seems very strange. i am sure that there was reference in my firefox browser something about the network had been reset as a reason for the page not loading.
