Talk Talk Usage Monitor

[link to this post]

I am looking to potentially move my broadband from Demon to A.N.OTHER

I would like to know if a user can view their broadband usage via a control panel etc (just like what Nildram had or has)

Also, do Talk Talk have to take over the line rental or can this be left with BT

Thanks

ThinkBroadband (this site) has a pretty useful monitor.

TT requires line rental; on LLU exchanges (80% of population) they take over the entire line for voice and broadband called full unbundling; on BT supplied ADSL Max exchanges (20%) if you don't take TT line rental, broadband costs more; however you can retain it if you want.

In my case TT took over all the provision, billing etc and we have been quite happy with the free calls anytime but the free internet service has, until now, cost us 10 per month as BT has not unbundled and is not planned to do so until Q3/4 2010.

While BT does some prep work to unbundle an exchange e.g. installing secure suite, this is done on the behest of providers like Sky, TalkTalk, i.e. BT will not unbundle an exchange until one of them asks.

So if its Q3/4 2010, then that is when TalkTalk are saying they plan on doing it.

I have 4 PC's and an xbox360, so the TT monitor is not good enough to monitor all this traffic, hence the question about TT having there own monitor in the portal like Nildran had/has.

ie, logon to the TT portal, goto say my account and click on Traffic usage to see what your totals are.

No. I got the Q3/4 2010 from the BT website when they were talking of IC21 (sic)?
