Talktalk's endless phone calls from sale team.

[link to this post]

Hey.

I did a stupid thing i used the talktalk online checker for my phone and postcode checker, although it says i can get around 13 meg, which is good still not going to leave my current isp.

Anyway a couple of days later i started getting phones, demanding that i should join them.

The sales women insisted that they are best provider, i pointed out the fact that when i was with them on the old isp stream that i got 0.5meg after 5pm until around 11pm.

She said "its due to the quailty of the line from exchange to your house"

I said " Oh funny that as its a new build and my current provider IDnet, gives me 6.85meg at all times of the day"

She had no answer for that expect that "we are the cheapest provider"

I pointed out that cheapest doesnt mean best, and if they were so confident of they product they wouldnt tie people for 18mths.

Also im moving property and that my current line is going to be disconneted at the end of next week.

She said great " will ring you back next week when your line has been disconneted to talk about your new line"

How stupid can some people be,

The main point is do i have to put up with them ringing 6-10 times a day until the end of next week?
I have asked them to stop ringing but they dont listen.

It will not do anything in the short term but TPS is the way to go.

Don't worry it will not prevent an international call alerting you to the fact that you have been left/allocated millions subject to your bank details so that they can transfer the money.frown

The 1st call you consented to when you used their online checker. Once you have told them not to call again, any subsequent calls are unsolicited marketing calls. As such, you can report them online to the TPS who will warn them.
