Hooray!

Yippeee. I bit the bullet and bought a Netgear router. Already my speed has jumped and snr down. Not a huge jump, but up to 15544 from 13000 (and a wee bit). Attenuation DOWN to 23.4 from 25.5 and noise margin to 8.7 from 9.5.

Think I will see what happens with the filter that was supplied with it!! Mind you, the one that is currently connected is a good one so not sure if it will make any difference.

Think I will give it a few days before requesting a drop to snr6.

What happened to

I'm not going to buy a new router! I was just lucky that my old 4 port router appears to be ADSL2+ compatible.....

Out of interest which Netgear did you buy?

Got the DGN1000 cause it was cheap.....

It would appear that while the old 4 porter was synching it was not actually adsl2+??

Don't really know how that would, or could, work but I did realise it was slower even though it showed a synch of 15544 or so.
