talktalk

[link to this post]

Hi
I had my phoneline taken from talktalk, that included the broadband package that used to be owned by AOL, TALK TALK could not deliver what I ewas paying for, I went to sky and consequently sky took over the BT line.
I tried to contact Talk Talk, but I had no luck, eventually Talk Talk threatened to put me in court, through a debt collecting agency. Talk Talk sent me 1 letter with an immeadiate threat.
I received the threatening letter from the debt collecting agency within 7 days, in the meantime I wrote to talk talk, and complained mainly about them not sending me a final written statement so I could pay the bill after checking it.
I did not receive a written reply to my complaint but while I was in work my wife received a phone call and talk talk wanted me to ring them up at premium rate, I THOUGHT TWICE ABOUT THIS, and decided to pay the debt company, by me taking this action I have kept myself totally legal, but I feel as if I have been scammed.
I intend now to take talk talk to the small claims court, through the timing of events, and has I paid the debt collecting agency I am treating them has the 3rd party, after all they are employed by talk talk.
I am still waiting for talk talk to reply in writing about my complaint, if they do not do this within 8 weeks I have other rights that will kick in, and I will use them to the full.
YOU SEE THIS IS NOT ABOUT MONEY IT IS ABOUT A POOR COMPANIES ETHICAL BEHAVIOUR.

Pardon? Could you perhaps re-write this rant in such a way as it makes some sort of sense? confused

So you're Sarah, and your wife wanted you to ring, and you paid the debt?
Are you sure?

from what i understan he/she was with aol, talktalk as we all should know now own AOL, TT must have phoned him/her to tell them they cant match the price he/she was paying to AOL and then from the sounds of things he or she recived a letter from TT informing them that TT was in contact with the debt collectors, so he or she musnt have payed for atleast 2 months as its how long it takes anything to get through the TT system. then he or she decided to pay the debt company the money
and now she or he is going to take TT to a small claims court to get justice such as TT saying sorry (which there good at saying). and its not about the money so i assume he or she wants a writen sorry note?

i think i might have got it right but i now have a headake...
i also think they just wanted to blow off a bit of steam and see if there was any advice we could all give them.

well my advice would be if your not with TT and have everything sorted then just leave it alone from what iv heard you have had a very bad experiance with TT but not many people have bad experiances, yes there call centers are better off not existing at all. but, not being racist there not English which means they can only read out of there little books, which dosnt cover this sort of stuff.

I AM a TT customer and have had a very plesent time with them for over 5 years now.

If you think that TT have charged you for services that you haven't received CONTACT OFCOM. They are conducting an investigation into TT and could fine them £150,000 for doing this to hundreds of their ex customers.

Good luck with the small claim. If TT do not reply (as they tend to do) you should get judgement automatically.
