TT LLU + Anytime phone question

[link to this post]

I currently have anytime phone with them (£12.30 line rental + ~£6 anytime) and within 18 month contract period.

On their site is says if you get their Broadband + Phone Plus package, you get anytime phone included in the line rental.

So how do I go about ordering it and getting the online free connection fee?

Also if anyone knows does Xilo resell TT LLU?

Thanks,

otester

Xilo resell the same LLU as TT does, Opal, but it's nothing to do with TT. Mighty good it is too.

Would I need to phone up to get this? Also what is the pricing like?

Currently when I put my phone number in it only displays BT Wholesale based up to 8Mb products.

Samknows says my exchange has Talktalk (CPW) enabled, that means Opal right? (Samknows doesn't list Opal at all).

Phone or drop sales an email. This was the pricing at launch - http://community.xilo.net/threads/cpw-opal-broadband... , not sure how the VAT increase has affected them.
As far as I can recall default noise margin is set at 12dB on migrating but you can get that changed via ticket system.
I've had the Talk Surf 50 GB package for a few months now, best broadband service I've ever had.
No call packages yet tho, just basic line rental included + 60 odd pence p/month for caller ID, pay for all calls.

Edit: If TT is LLU at your exchange then yes you should be able to get Xilo/Uno via Opal.

Apparently they are looking into improving usage allowance/packages overall in the future.

Calls are looking to cost ~£4 based on current my current TT bill which is pretty damn good.

Altogether it looks like I'll be saving ~£30 by moving from the BT based system.

Yeah, I think there are a few improvements in the offing. I've found I'm paying about the same for broadband and calls as I was previously with an BTw reseller and madasafish line rental/calls but the broadband has been nigh on perfect. Attenuation 55 dB, connect at 5000+ kbps and very rarely get sub 4000 kbps throughput no matter time of day, 4500 kbps average. No dropouts whatsoever.
Lack of itemised calls is a slight issue but as long as things stay the same servicewise don't intend to move again.

Didn't your order with Talk Talk get rejected due to your BT contract? If so, the same will happen here.

The order was reject due to my cancel. Nothing to do with BT. I really want up to 24 meg with uno with broadband only. No need to cancel my BT line with unlimited calls.

Matt,

Thanks for the email - will probably give xilo/uno LLU a try in a few month's time. Spoke to one of the sales staff this morning and he was extremely helpful and informative, reckons I may get ~12Mbps down speed on my 34dB attenuation. Only a couple of downsides: will have to buy a router and no free evening & weekend deal on the phone service - call charges look very reasonable though smile

Certainly don't fancy TT LLU so xilo/uno LLU should be an excellent alternative.

Cheers,

4M2.

adslmax,

Who told you, or how did you find out, that there's limited LLU capacity at your exchange?

Matt told me but I don't think there isn't any capacity at my exchange Cuckoo Oak. I had checked on talktalk llu as my exchange had plenty of capacity left. But I cannot have it because matt told me in email there is no capacity order at my exchange frown

OK, that's tough. What do you plan to do now? Find another ISP and stay on IPStream with one month rolling contracts until LLU becomes available with xilo/uno...

I don't think my exchange stand no chance of no 21CN, no ADSL2+, no FTTC, no more LLU except talktalk llu and virgin media cable.

I stick with my current isp on a 1 month contract for now. But seem expensive thought.

DJ. With your past record on Entanet and near enough every ISP who has the misfortune to have you has a customer, I'm not surprised you are being told thanks but no thanks. the length of time you stay with a ISP and the hassle and complaints, just aint viable to have you as a customer.
