How long to enable a exchange

My exchange had a rfs date of the 12/12/2011

I spoke to one of the resllers of tt vivacity on the phone who said the latest information they had was that the job was waiting to be signed off.

There are a number of exchanges that TT have given dates for in my area, one has already gone live with a date back in September. My exchange is the second out of 4, just wondering how long it will take till the service goes live.

They seem to be pretty much on track with RFS dates if my experience is anything to go by...

Mine was due the 19th Dec, but was actually ready a few days before. Samknows is a little slow to update though:

Mine was due at the end of Oct 2011 and Samknows is still showing this. I did run the line checker on the TT website and it wasnt until mid Dec 2011 that i was quoting i would get a speed over 8.6mbit so i can only assume it was mid Dec when it went live.

It could go live then anytime now!

I am getting the ADSL2+ via XILO on the 17th Jan.

Mine was RFS for 25/11/11 and still isnt showing anything.

Mine was 20/11/2011 but not enabled yet. BUT should have WBC 21 by end of Jan!

Just a case of waiting to see when it goes live, my rfs date for 21CN is not till the 31st of May.

It seems BT are ahead of themselves when it comes to my Exchange (Tenby). Just been told by an Engineer that it was finished before Christmas and now had an email from Plusnet to say they have placed an order with BT for my line to be switched over!!

How big is you're exchange?

Alot of 'white areas' where the market wont reach will be able to see their local CC LBP in a few months then tenders and work starting towards the end of the year, so there is improvements on the way.

I would hope BT is fast in my area, as they have just finished enabling a exchange for 21CN and FTTC, another exchange had a 21cn rfs date of the 31/12/2011 though not showing as enabled by sam knows.

If it is done then theres another 2 exchanges to go before my exchange will get enabled 31/01/2012 and 29/02/2012. Though my exchange date is not till the 31/05/2012 seems quite a gap.

My exchange says on SamKnows that there's 3240 Residential lines but a BT Engineer told me the other day that there are a lot more than this. I find SamKnows to have gone very slow at updating their details.

I'm quite impressed at the speed at which it's been done and early! Not sure if I'll get much speed improvement though as my line takes a 2km detour before it gets to my house even though I can see the exchange (600m away) from where I live!

I've heard (from an engineer) that something will be happening with the Pembroke Dock exchange later this year
