Would I be crazy to consider moving to TT Non LLU Essentials

I got a telephone call earlier today from TalkTalk, obviously trying to poach me from my current ISP, and offered me a nice (pricewise) offer.

However, it is on a Non LLU'd Essentials package, but it is unlimited (for 12 months) raher than 40Gb/month, and includes line rental, anytime call package and unlimited BB, and I was offered this for £22.40/month for 12 months.

I have no problems with the price, but I have heard so many horror stories about TT that I was immediately sceptical about any offer from them, let alone one that wasn't even an LLU offer.

Would I be crazy to even consider moving over to TT on a Non LLU'd Essentials package?

Are there any other Non LLU Essentials package users that can offer any good or bad personal experiences?

Oh, and looking at my (20CN) exchange, i very much doubt that there will be anyLLU ISP's moving in there within the next 12 months...there isn't even a 21CN upgrade date scheduled yet.

Contrary to popular opinion, their non-LLU offering isn't that bad. Its certainly far better than the likes of Sky Connect, O2 Access etc. If you don't dabble in P2P you'll be fine but obviously stick to forum support to get any issues resolved.

I might just go ahead and take the plunge...I will go ahead and request my MAC code anyway, then I will have options next week.

I thought i read somewhere that TT were dropping non LLU signups?

Try doing the deal through TopCashBack or similar. It's running at about £25 at the moment.

Good thought, but the telephone offer I got was far better than the cashback offer ordering via Quidco (or similar) would give me.
