FTTC Estimates

Hi,

I upgraded to Fibre Large (up to 76Mb) last Friday, and had had estimated speeds of 51Mb down and 13Mb up according to the BT and TalkTalk websites.

However, I am currently only getting 20Mb down and 12Mb up. The BTOR engineer carried out an ECLIPSE (?) test on the line, which also showed 20Mb.

Any rationale why the upload speed is close to what was estimated, whilst the download speed is a lot lower?

Are you able to get some line stats for us?

TalkTalk 24Mb 24575/1019
BT 8Mb
Virgin 50Mb
BT 7Mb

Other ISP's used over the years: AOL Supanet Pipex Tiscali Eclipse Zen

Hi Seansmit17,

The TalkTalk supplied router does not display any line stats as far as I know.

If there is a way to see the line stats on the BT OpenReach supplied EchoLife HG612, then I can have a look this evening.
