Will my Technicolor TG582n work on 80Mb FTTC

Hi,

I'm having some real issues with wireless drop outs using the supplied Huawei HG532 router on my new 'superfast' FTTC service.

Previously I was with TalkTalk business and they supplied a Technicolor TG582n router. Is it possible to use this router to connect to the BT fibre box?

If so, are there any limitations and any idea on how to set it up?

You might, you might not... Probably not as it does not have a "WAN" port.

Try it and see but Im thinking it wont work.

I'll give it a go tonight when I get home. I've heard reports that other ISP's offer updated firmware to allow one of the ports to be used as a WAN port?

Yes there is firmware to re-assign a LAN port as a WAN port, whether it will work on the version of 582n you have, I have no idea
