Engineer left customer without Broadband

[link to this post]

I have just had to sort out a mess left behind by a so called engineer.

He spend 3 hours trying to install a New Router and YouView box (with new powerline adapters, which the customer did not need) then gave up because he had to get to the next job.
Should have been a 15 minute job, but he seemed more interested in the Funeral of Nelson Mandella.

Last night when I visited the distraught customer I found that he had not backed out the changes he had done.
The customer's Netgear router and Netgear powerline adapters were not connected back up.

When are TT going to train the so called engineers properly !!!!

I advised the customer to make a formal complaint and demand compensation.

TalkTalk don't have any engineers of their own. They contract the work out to a firm called Qube.

Qube then have an army of self employed blokes who have a pitiful existence trying to scrape an honest living driving miles and miles burning their own diesel for work that pays less than minimum wage with no holiday or sick pay.

So the answer to your question is, probably never.
