Has anybody else experienced constant iPlayer buffering on TalkTalk? iPlayer buffers every two minutes or so; it's really annoying!
My download speed is fine (~7.5Mb/s constantly) so that's not the issue. Tried a different PC and the same thing, tried resetting the router (TalkTalk provided HG523a - ignore my signature) to factory defaults, rebooting it, etc. all to no avail.
What should I do?

What should I do? have you tried setting the MTU to 1400 (in the router).
I have found that sometime the TT network requires this otherwise packets fragment.

No such problems here mate, iplayer runs smooth as a babies bottom. Why don't you try a different router? TalkTalk supplied routers are normally poo.

That seems to have solved the issue.
Unfortunately, this router (Home Hub 3) seems to sync 0.5Mb slower than the TalkTalk router (Huawei HG523A). Can anyone recommend a router with the same chipset as that router?

What's the chipset?
Do you use wi-fi?

No idea on the chipset. We do use WiFi.

Actually, I do know the chipset: it is a Realtek chipset (RTL8672 to be exact). Would I get any advantage by going Infineon?

Ok, so using a 2nd-hand Huawei HG612 is out - no wifi.

Doesn't sync nearly as well as the Huawei as it uses a Broadcom chipset.
Baby_Frogmella is our resident TalkTalk router expert. Any ideas?

How did you get the Home Hub 3 to connect with TalkTalk, I thought they were locked to BT?

There's no authentication on TT

There's no authentication on TT Must be a new "thing" as there certainly used to be.
