TalkTalk price increase

[link to this post]

Hi,

After reading a post on the thinkbroadband home page about their price rises http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/6356-talktalk-ann... I have a few questions that I would like clarifying.

1. Does this price rise apply to fibre medium?
2. If yes, can I leave without having to pay the contract termination fee and and remaining months bill?

The reason I ask is that the prices are getting out of what I would like to pay, its bad enough as it is.

Thanks

If you signed up for fibre medium plus Simply Broadband, i.e. £10 + £2.50 a month, then it will change to £13.50 total per month

Letters giving the 30 day notice will be sent out around the 27th

Thanks,

I have been with TalkTalk since October 2010 so I have the essentials. I then signed up for fibre last year so it added £10 on.

On the old essentials not sure. Have checked the price notification page.

Btw if on 2Mbps upload that speedtest is wrong

Ok and it glitched a bit when I did it, when I usually test I get around 1.85 -1.9mbps upload.

Nope they don't list the old Plus package before the TV was added.

http://sales.talktalk.co.uk/pricing/info/pricing-not...

But would be preparing for 55p line rental and £1 extra on the broadband. The £3 rise on PlusTV is more because of the extra channels

I don't really know what the package name is, felt like it was mangled together (last September) by Retentions to make a good deal. smile

So they could not do broadband for such a low price, what a surprise. No doubt it will go up again soon, when they realise they are doing it too cheap or they cut their service down to a even lower level if that is possible.
