I had my broadband problems attended to by a Fujitsu engineer - obviously Fujitsu own BT.

Yet again you really do like to take things off topic. This was a question/discussion about BACKHAUL systems, not the last mile...

A quick Google search doesn't reveal anything either.
This probably says more than you realise.

Use the Ginp Formula to determine if your vdsl2 connection is with or without G.INP.
Divide your IP Profile by your Sync Speed and the answer is 0.9669 (with) or 0.9679 (without)

Well I work at a Tier 3 B2B ISP, so wouldn't really have any dealings with anything past Tier 2. Have regular dealing with COLT (if you know who they are) and Level 3 Communications at Tier 1 level, but only as I have to deal directly with them sometimes.

I don't know who Rednet are either. Care to enlighten us?

As I work in the telecoms industry, that information is on a need to know basis only.

Such a child....

Rednet was the 5th ISP to set up in the UK, takes some digging to find out who they were. They no longer exist as they sold out to CPW/TT. They appear to have closed their doors as an ISP in 2006 when they merged with Opal. So no knowing them myself isn't a big thing, as this was before I was involved in the telecoms industry at that level. But heck Batboy, you didn't really think I'd know all that.

Any idea if its possible to tell at an Exchange level if Talk Talk have back haul completely separate from BT Wholesale?

I'm on Alford Exchange which is a child of Aboyne Exchange apparently.

BT Wholesale dont have enough back-haul at Aboyne or Alford. I've been waiting 6 weeks for it to be resolved and they just keep moving the dates and latest is that BTW now also have a problem on the ethernet edge switch on Aboyne exchange.

If the exchange is TalkTalk LLU enabled (which Alford & Aboyne are) then TalkTalk's ADSL2+ and FTTC services will use TalkTalk's dedicated backhaul from the exhange onwards. So yes, you will avoid using BT's backhaul if you go with TalkTalk Residential (shudders) orTalkTalk Business (direct or via reseller). I'm not too far from you (Inverness) and get rock solid 75/19 meg day & night speeds on TalkTalk Business (direct) - see my BQM:
