Fibre speed now slower than ADSL

The router (HG633) has been disconnecting continuously, increasing the interleave depth. There is no noise on the phone line and router logs don't seem to point to anything in particular to cause the dropped link. It's gone from a solid 38/2 non-interleaved sync to around 13/0.8. Any help would be appreciated.

With such a large drop, test from the test socket and if no better look at reporting issue to provider

If it was not for the VDSL2 in the line standard I would suggest you've being dropped onto an ADSL2+ connection.

The support line was phoned and they told us to put it into the test socket, they also scheduled an engineer to come and he did last Wednesday and described it as a 'network fault' but didn't do anything and since then, it's got worse.

Network fault can cover a massive area.

One possibility is that the Openreach DLM system has gone a bit manic on you to stabilise the line in the face of lots of errors and banded you down. Generally getting Openreach DLM reset means an Openreach engineer out to test line and only then is a reset issued.

TalkTalk are the ones who can call out the Openreach engineer to get this resolved

Over 2 weeks ago my speed from TalkTalk has dropped from 10 Mbps to 0.78 Mbps.
They claim that this is a DLM issue but, so far, there has been no sign of either an engineer or help to fix the problem.
I had thought that TalkTalk would have solved their famous poor Service record by now!
All contact with them appears to make no difference.

I take it you've posted your issue on the TalkTalk forums? If no luck on there, then get in touch with their Twitter team, they're very good at resolving issues - you won't have to deal with an overseas call centre
