TalkTalk Business don't migrate from Sky, why?

After playing with the TT Business fibre order page it seems TTB won't migrate a Sky line and require a new line to be installed. However, TT residential will migrate the line without issue - and unlike TTB, not even require an engineer visit.

Anybody know why this is?

Do TTB and domestic have different guaranteed levels of customer service in terms of error fixing and response times etc? Maybe they think there's more chance of a problem from self install so require engineer set up to avoid potential difficulties.

TTB require engineer install as standard AFAIW, doesn't explain why they require a new line when TT residential don't - it's the requirement for a new line which I'm curious about.

Best thing I can suggest is to call them tomorrow and ask them. It's free in any case for an install. But it is odd to me too.

TalkTalk Business CS say - residential have an agreement with Sky, we don't ... therefore no direct migration.

Can you not have a new line installed and then terminate sky when it's up?

Just a thought. I know TTB don't charge for a new line, I had one installed when I started

I'm just researching at the moment, no conclusions ...

I know you can move an old number onto a new line after ceasing the old line(anybody know the renumber charge?), or I suppose you could migrate your old number to VOIP. Don't really want any new sockets or wire around the place TBH.
