Own router with Talk Talk fibre

Hey all,

Go live today with TT Fibre, and current setup is a BT Openreach modem with a Asus router configured for BT Infinity.

I've received the TT router, and not happy with it - can't have spaces in SSID and it doesn't accept special characters in the wifi password - SO - what settings do I need to change on the Asus to get it working in the Talk Talk network?

username and password? which is usually your phone number with @talktalk.net?

You just need to reconfigure the Asus router from PPPoE to Automatic IP (DHCP). TalkTalk don't authenticate with username / password.

Cheers, I'm using the TT router for now, will get the ASUS router reconfigured later on. Having to change the wifi hasn't gone down well in our house as the TT router doesn't like spaces in SSID or special characters in the [censored] password!
