No sound with TalkTalk Youview box

Just trying the TalkTalk TV service and wondering if anyone can help.

Setup is:

TalkTalk STB connected via HDMI to a Denon 4K AV Amp which is connected via HDMI to a LG 4K TV

Can't get any sound out of the dam box, the limited menu settings allow HDMI audio to be stereo or surround - neither work.

Anyone got it working with a similar setup? Irony being I have a old BT YouView box which works perfectly with the AV Amp and TV setup!

Immediate thought is HDCP is not playing nicely with the Denon, presume good to the LG on its own?

£3.99 optical cable from Amazon, assigned one of the optical ports to the Talk Talk HDMI input - hey presto. Not ideal as I would have preferred HDMI audio, but for the little TV we watch it'll do.
