Ah yes, the noisy interleaved line (depth64) so speed is not bad considering .

Don't worry too much about customer support i have been with TT many years and the only time i ever used CS they were spot on and got my problem sorted quickly.

Sorry but 11mbps throughput on a synch of 18mbps is TERRIBLE!

You can do so much better!

11 its fast enough for what i use it for so i am more than happy if it was 2 i would be moaning..

I have a car that will do 120 but i drive it at 70 on the motorway

I agree with you. I had 12 for years and did just fine.

I can get 11 where I am now

I was considering getting fibre but was advised as far as page loading speeds go i would not notice the difference so i haven't bothered.

Thats true.

I have added TTB ADSL to my account as a backup.- and using the same PC I find the same on TTB Fibre as I do on the ADSL.

ADSL on wireless, FTTC on Ethernet.

It's only worth it for larger families, e.g. in a family of 5 if one of the kids was doing facetime for 2 hours you'd really feel that slowdown as it maxed out your 1mbps upload.

Hence 10Mbps and 20Mbps upload can alleviate a lot of that. TalkTalk is only 2Mbps upload which is quite useless in my view.

Otherwise, things like 4K Netflix need around 15Mbps so if you had a 4K TV you might find the upgrade worthwhile to get that experience.

My old house I lived with a girl in media and she was uploading 10Gb videos, hence we needed the fastest fibre to keep the downstream usable.

Thanks, we don't do Netflix and probably never will and my Foxsat freesat box is will be providing the picture until it dies so no 4K for me, looks like i will be sticking with what i have got for the foreseeable future.
