FTTC vs LLU vs BTW network routing

Can anyone explain the route that network traffic takes from master socket in your home, through BTOR cables and on to the internet, in relation to TalkTalk's fibre (FTTC/VDSL) product?

My current limited understanding is that BTOR obviously manage the copper cable from the master socket to the cabinet, the cabinet itself and also the fibre cable from the cabinet to the exchange. But, where does it connect to at the exchange? Presumably TalkTalk don't have their own equipment there, hence the issues with being stuck with BTOR DLM. After that though, is traffic then routed on TalkTalk's network, and thus using their bandwidth (i.e. like with LLU)?

With TalkTalk LLU ADSL, BTOR only manage the copper cable from the master socket to the exchange, at which point the cable is connected to TalkTalk's own DSLAM at the exchange connected to the TalkTalk network.

And with BT Wholesale ADSL, of course everything is managed by BTOR and use's BT's network throughout, as it's just a resold BT product.

Its simple. On TalkTalk FTTC services, the DLM is located within the FTTC cabinet which TT (or any other ISP) don't have any control over. However on TalkTalk ADSL2+ services, the DLM is within TT's equipment at the exchange which TT do have control over. On both FTTC and ADSL2+ TT lines, TT use their own backhaul links from the headend exchange to the internet. The same applies to Sky, Vodafone and to a certain extent Zen FTTC and ADSL2+ lines. With Zen, where they don't have their own equipment at an exchange, BT wholesale (or where possible TT Business) will carry their traffic to the nearest major exchange which does.
