Early Termination Charge

My mother will reach the end of her TalkTalk 18 month contract period for Phone and Broadband on February 7th,

I wish to port her services away. Given that a port takes around 10 working days to initiate, I was going to apply for that in the coming week.

I want to ensure that if the port happens a day or two before the 7th, she won't get clobbered with a early
termination charge. She's just paid the January bill, that has her paid up until Feb 6th, so that's fine ?

.....a list of charges per month. Is that complete months left (in which case there's no problem), or part months left, in which case there is !?

I would wait, as they will almost certainly charge you if you leave early.
It's applied automatically.

Why chance it for the sake of a few days when she's almost at the end of an 18 month contract.

I think I will, I was going to catch a Plusnet Offer that expires at 23:59 on Tuesday, though chances are a new one will spring up the next day anyway !
