TTB Gfast

Just had a phone call from TTB saying that Gfast is available on my cab. Didn't give much detail. Anyone else got it? How much a month, is there an installation fee. Sort of caught me on the hop?

How far are you from your cab Tim ?

It has to be pretty damn close to get good stability and speeds.

Anywhere nearing 300m and there really is little or no benefit.

Just noted your sync. That you don’t currently get full 80/20 sync would be, for me, a sign that you might see any benefits from g.Fast

Even if you get full 80/20 the upload on Gfast could be lower

I dont know where my account manager got his info but I put a request in for a call back and TTB gent called me today. He did some checks and said it is not available!

My sync is 64/12 and I think the line is well over 300m so full fibre it is when it eventually comes (not holding my breath).

Full fibre is the thing .. for now … I wish I could get it …. but for now I’ll put up with what I can get
