TTB renewal

[link to this post]

My TTB connection contract runs out in December. Has anyone got any experience or knows what happens when the contract runs out on TTB? Will the price shoot up, is another contract available with reduced prices? Ideas?

been with TT since 2007, you can call Retentions anytime you want and ask what they can do, or just tell them what you want (within reason) and see if they'll do it.
To get an extension of contract while you are within contract is what they want,

I have a TTB connection on a Business Full Fibre 900 contract. As it’s discounted for the exact duration of the contract (and listed as such on my bills), there is little doubt on mine that the price will increase to the full tariff once the term is up.

However yours may well be different to mine and the price will either stay as is or they will apply the current book price for the product. No doubt the higher of the two.

Best to call / email your account manager at TTB and get them to confirm what will happen if you stay on by default. Bit early to start any negotiations now on extensions. Something you may want to do a month or two before the contract expires.

I have been with TTB for over 12 years. Usually about a month before my contract ends I have a look around to see what other providers can offer. I then give TTB a call and ask what they can offer me, if other provider are cheaper I then ask them if they will match it So far TTB have always gone one better and not only matched it but have made a better offer than their competitors. You will probably have to ask the call centre to connect you to retentions to do this.

P.S. TTB does offer social tariffs for those on certain benefits

Utility Warehouse (up to 16mbps) via Talk Talk, upgraded to fibre 40/10

As said social tariffs are for those with low income on certain benefits. e.g. income support, pension credit, etc. So it obviously does not apply to business tariffs
