Could sombody please give me advice on this read out does it mean that bt is limiting my down load speed to 135kbs. up untill last week i was getting 352 down load speeds now just 20 i have spoken to bt for 2 hours nobody can give me advice or talk english!!!! I have turned to this forum for help

There is only so many micro filters you can plug in the test socket and modems


Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:
IP profile for your line is - 135 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 4736 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 87 kbps

How long have you been on ADSL Max ?

6 months and no problems till now

You need to contact your ISP to find out why your profile is so bad.

bt just called me back said the problem was difference between my upstream and down stream is to great is this right or just another story.

Complete rubbish. Whomever that was at BT should be ashamed.
The best 'home' connection possible (via a BT provided ADSLmax product) has 8128kbps down and 448kbps up, which is a much greater difference than yours.
