ADSL connection + Phone faulty line

Hi,
After I moved to my new house (2 months) I got braodband with the same phone number I had before, but connection is bad ADSL light Modem router Dlink 604T blinks, I turn the phone on lights stops blinking and I get broadband turn off the phone get disconnected. Very slow speeds. I have checked all filters and they are okay. The last thing they told me is that they have tried everything and are sending BT eng. to my house to check. This is very annoying.
I get on the phone a lot of noise too you can hear when broadband connects.

Can somebody help.

Yes help is on the way, but still if somebody could explain to me about this problem it will help.

As long as it isn't a filter problem, and it sounds like you have ruled this out, then it will be an HR dis fault, one of the two wires coming to you from the exchange is 'not quite making'. Ensure you explain the symptoms to the engineer, and all should be sorted....these can however take a while to locate. Tea can aid the engineers fault finding abilities.
