Good connection from router to PC (wireless) but no web pages. What is the order of the problem-solving steps I need to take?

What statistics do the router show, and if you cannot 'see' the router, I'd start by making an ethernet connection between the two, and try again,,,,you have rebooted the router haven't you ?
