BRAS then what?

Can somebody fill me in on the next hop between the BRAS and the Home Gaeway router?

I know that the IP colosus network is used to traverse from the BRAS but terminates a L2TP at a Home gateway, This is where the BT Central are. But where are the Home gateways that lead to the ISP Edge router via a Central pipe?
