I have purchased PIPEX Max.(Upto 8mb) I have a Netgear DG834GT modem/router with the latest firmware installed.
When I intially log on I can get a downstream speed of up to 5000kbs but 20 minutes later I am getting a downstream speed of 3268 kbs and then through a period of about 2 hours the line degrades to 168 kbs. Upstream remains consitent.
I can get it back up again by rebooting my router, and then the whole dergadation process starts again.
I have recently had an ADSL telephone socket plate installed by BT in order to try and address the issue.
I have run speedtests from thinkbroadband site and also PIPEX test site, both return the same type of scores.
I have tried another router, identical model, same scenario applies.
Now I have a ADSL Max line is there an issue with the capability of my router or is there still an issue with the line?
