Loss of Framing.

[link to this post]

Had a re-sync last night and the error seemed to be caused by Loss of framing which had a value of 5. What is it and why did it cause a re-sync ?

ADSL data is sent in a time-synchronised manner. If the ADSL modem or router gets out of step with the exchange end, it has to re-sync. Could be caused by pulses of line noise, or an actual short line disconnection.
