If you mean 3400 exactly you would be a bit unlucky as 3424 is needed for a 3mb profile.

o right, thats good, cause i think its higher than 3424, I lost sync at the weekend and noise went up to 30+ and bras reset me to 133 connectiong but i sorted the problem and it went back to normal, and noise was 9 and sync'd at 37-- then it must of resync'd at some point other day and its now at 34--.... my profile went to 2meg, so hopefully 2morrow when my profile should update, it might goto 3meg. hopefully

It's actually 3456000 bps that is required for a 3mb profile (576000*6).

also.....

this 3 day period you have to have a stable line for....

is it 3 days from the day it updated?

If my profile last updated on the 6th, will it update 2morrow? or today?

So why do BTw say

2848-3423 2500
3424-3999 3000
4000-4543 3500

It would be just as easy for them to say 3456 instead of 3424

I have no idea where they get those figures from to be honest. Though it doesn't surprise me that they (just possibly) maybe don't know how their own back end systems work because, as we all know, they are so "pigeonholed" that the person who documented those figures to inform end users probably thinks they are correct, when infact they aren't. I'm 99% certain I'm right though, based on past experience when I had broadband MAX on a 60dB attenuated line.

For further clarification of how it all works, see this other recent post I made a few days ago.

It is 3 days from getting a sync that takes you into the next bracket.

Not sure if it is 72 hours from the sync change time, or midnight following the 72 hours.
