Is it a DECT phone? If so, try two filters in series.

Have you tried a pro filter, such as those from ADSL Nation?

I have connected two filters and it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But look at my router stats :-

DSL Status
Connection Status Connected
Upstream Rate (Kbps) 288
Downstream Rate (Kbps) 2272
US Margin 19
DS Margin 0
Modulation GDMT
LOS Errors 0
DS Line Attenuation 63
US Line Attenuation 63
Path Mode Fast Path

I am supprised that my router is holding sych at this, I will keep an eye on it.

The router is a D-Link Dsl G604T

You have a DS noise margin of zero. If a sparrow sits on the overhead cable and sneezes, it will probably cause a disconnection

I am still running with two filters in series and no problems and my speed is 2Mb which is the best that I have had. The stats are on the limits but if the router hangs in I think I will carry on:-

DSL Status
Connection Status Connected
Upstream Rate (Kbps) 288
Downstream Rate (Kbps) 2272
US Margin 19
DS Margin 2
Modulation GDMT
LOS Errors 0
DS Line Attenuation 63
US Line Attenuation 63
Path Mode Fast Path

My take on this is that if piggybacking filters has a beneficial effect where a particular item of equipment is concerned, then it's time to seriously consider replacing that equipment with something that is wholly compatible.
This of course assumes that the filters in use are of at least reasonable quality.
