Hi
right here goes .
i connect at 7.4mb - had no problems up until sunday when speed went to 20 kbps but for some small periods shot up to over 6meg - my sync stayed the same throughout this which lasted until today ( i hope)
my isp have no throttling - enough bandwidth and tested my line which showed roughhly 2 million errors in a day - tech said this is prob which is causing this slowness at times. (my exchange is green for vp )
tech said there HEC errors coming from exchange to router - ive checked my internal wiring and the master and everythings fine .
a fault was then submitted to bt wholesale who said theres no problem with line - this was bounced back saying about the errors etc . . . basically an engineer is due out but im asking firstly what are peoples advice on what may of caused this ??
1. fault at exchange - line card or vp board etc
2. overhead wires between exchange and my house
3. internal wiring (even though id assume if internally it was knackered my speed would be poo all the time - i may be wrong ??)
should i get this engineer out and face a potentail charge of
