Hello all,
I've has ADSL for over 5 years now. My router would sync at around 3400 and stay connected for weeks. They'd be plenty of FEC errors, but no problems with surfing.
However, about 10 days ago problems started. My router would sync, but would not stay connected for more than 1 minute. It would continuously just sync and lose sync every minute. It was impossible to use. I noticed in the router stats that I had an equal number of CRC & HEC errors during that minute.
After reporting it to my ISP & BT, it is now working again. My stats are:
Downstream: 3424 Kbps
Upstream: 448 Kbps
Multimode Transmit Power: 11.7 dB
Connected: 28 minutes
SNR: 10.5dB
Line At: 40.5dB
CRC: 3
FEC: 53000
HEC: 1
Does the above look like a healthy set of stats, particularly the FEC errors after only 28 minutes? Have BT fixed it, or is it just working today because we had a nice day?
Help appreciated, as BT are coming again on Thurs and I'm not sure whether it still needs fixing or I should cancel.
Thanks,
Mike
